The Madhatters Skating Academy welcomes you to our 2024 Figure Skating Summer Camp! Open to levels Pre-Free Skate through Gold, the camp will provide a fun, enriching environment to develop your skating skills through expertly designed on-ice and off-ice training. It will be overseen by our Skating Academy Director, Tatiana Kozmava, a former international competitor and performer, and run by our experienced coaching team, accredited through Learn to Skate USA (LTS), Professional Skating Association (PSA), and or the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS).

*Skaters should bring their water bottle, sneakers, yoga mat, and spinner!

Program Overview

Competitive Edge is our advanced group training program to develop well-rounded skaters. It offers two hours of training through four classes: Skating Skills, Jumps, Spins, and Off-Ice. Each 30-minute class has been mindfully crafted by our coaches to provide a truly comprehensive program for our athletes.

Skating Skills: focuses on the agility, endurance, power, and speed needed to generate maximum energy for dynamic, high-quality skating.

  1. conditioning, stroking drills, explosive exercises

Jumps: focuses on developing the takeoff, rotation, and landing techniques, as well as the necessary strength and timing needed to execute jumps with poise and precision.

  1. jump drills, plyometrics, harness work

Spins: focuses on the positions and techniques of rotations needed to execute spins with speed, centeredness, and grace.

  1. balance, flexibility, core strength exercises

Off-Ice: complements on-ice practices and focuses on improving the overall athleticism and physical conditioning needed to execute demanding elements.

  1. cardiovascular workouts, strength training, flexibility exercises, ballet/dance classes


All skaters from the Free Skate 3 to Gold levels are welcome to participate.


You can register for Competitive Edge as a series or a day pass:

$270 for the series

$55 for a day pass

Classes & Schedule

Competitive Edge runs on Saturdays as a six-week series.
